Yes I know I am late to the party ..
Yes I know nobody knows me .
No I don't give a crap what people think of me .
    Wooooow
You guys trow Ron under the bus for simply stating his opinion.
You know I would be pissed if I spent the money to rig up properly and go the extra mile too when "outlaws " are breaking the rules to cut my throat.
What I can't understand is why do this to a gentleman who is the first one to help when he can .
Not to mention go the extra mile for public safety and the reputation of our industry.

Back up a minute, who’s defending the “outlaws”? I specifically said I don’t endorse it. He’s entitled to his opinion as are we but but his opinion doesn’t trump ours.

No it doesn’t, the rates being higher are commiserate with the revenue required to operate the bigger trailer. An 8 axle hauling the same exact load can be more profitable at a lower rate. Rates and profit are two different things.

cke, beastr123, Feedman and 2 others Thank this.

This isn’t even an argument about bootlegger. This is a conversation about changing the axle configurations.

Yes I do not disagree .
But if less trucks can move the load , the rates stay higher .
If everybody can do the load or do the load cheaper then over time the rates will fall .
If there is too much profit then somebody will cut them down .

    beastr123 Thanks this.
