Plywood works good but it gets chewed up fast. We got some old conveyor belting out of a quarry. It's limber enough to roll up like a tarp but it keeps the deck from getting torn up.

I bought new apitong and I put 1/4" steel diamond plate on top of the apitong. Works great and ZERO damage over last year. I have a forklift that weighs 61,000 lbs and it would crush any wood.

    cke Thanks this.

That's honestly none of anybody's business except the guy hauling it. It's very much frowned upon to be asking others questions about rates and money. Especially so in the OS/OD industry.

Those numbers vary so wildly between different loads and regions any number he did give you wouldn't apply.

MartinFromBC, cke, sawmill and 11 others Thank this.

That much steel would add a lot of weight and be slippery. This trailer has 4” junior beams between the crossmembers. It would hold that forklift.

cke, BigBob410, SAR and 4 others Thank this.

How much do you make an hour? What kind of savings do you have? Can I borrow a dollar?
