Isn't it required to break load down when possible?

WTF did I just look at?

Also, I noticed you had 2 different signs on, and how tall was that thing?

No way they would have put that sack of #### on my truck. They should have at least put it on a stretch.

Man... Humble pie you have some formula to make a port terminal and a customer at their deadline make the world work in your favor?

With a load they barely seem to know how to handle?

Send me a link to that group chat. It was a cluster. But in this case in gained me a customer thats puttin checks in my hand and wiring payments daily.

permitted, puloted 1.5 miles $1800 call me what you want.

Like I said they would have put it on a stretch. Glad it worked for you. But they wouldn’t have loaded that on my wagon like that.

But they could have hired a crane to come in and pull it off the rack. That would have been the best option. But it would have cost them 1800 to load it and 1800 for you to haul it. So you saved them a chunk of change. You did alright, but it was a janky way to do it.

    No ego involved.

Question: If you were offered the same load. Understood that it would take you 4 hours a $43.00 permit, and it was 1/2 mile from where you park your trucks and trailers (begining and end) You would have turned down this load?

Id be interested in getting an understanding of why you would not do it. Would you REALLY prefer to stick your chest out to tell a customer schedule a crane (to go in a port terminal).

Im new to it 3 years in. 3 trucks 2 trailers. Help me understand.

I agree as a stretch trailer would be the only way to.do it right. Besides taking it off the flat rack to begin with.

My thought process is that one accident could ruin it all for you. Hauling it that way raises the center of gravity way up there. Yeah I know its only a mile or so. But so much can happen. And when it does happen the first thing everyone is gonna do is point fingers at the way it was loaded. The shipper is gonna throw you under the bus. You gotta look out for your future by questioning the quick bucks.

Yes, I would have refused to load it that way. You think $1800.00 is a lot of money. And it may be but it’s only a drop in the bucket if things go sideways. I realize at a 1.5 the risk factor goes down, but it’s still there. You allowed it on your truck so you are liable if something goes wrong. This business is about risk and rewards. I think the risk was too great for the reward on that move.
