First time I've seen this type of chain storage.... Nice and accessible.

Hes got a pad lock on them... No different than someone with a regular headache rack, if a crook wants them, they will get them.

I never kept anything locked (it's a real pain with the climate here and off-road conditions) and only had anything stolen one time. A guy stole two folding-handle ratchet binders. A couple days later he parked beside me (at the same truck stop where they disappeared), so I took them back off his load. I thought about waiting for him to come back to his truck so I could beat him to death, but couldn't be bothered.

 

I bet he'd be having a hard time keeping his eyes on the road. Keep staring in his mirror trying to catch a peek.

the thing that would bother me about both especially the one in your picture is if a hook comes off the end of a chain it’s going to be in the drives pretty quick.
