I just bought a landoll from the guy in iowa. So far so good. But I couldnt imagine purchasing a 1980's 45ton(or heavier trailer) that sounds like a hell of a lit of risk. Espescially if it wasnt purely a
    west coast trailer.

That's what I'm battling now. The company I am working with is open to buying the trailer and deducting the payments. Down side is they want a shorter term. 36 months or so.
So it's either a newer lesser trailer, or an older better brand... I did see an early 2000s Aspen that looked brand new, but they want 110k for it. What I need in the beginning is a known good trailer that will hold up to me learning on it. Buying a 20yr old trailer and finding out it has major issues($15k+) would probably kill me. Lol

What's with the expanding trailers with 16 tires on the back? Just looked on XLs website and the thing only expands the rear to 120" for "western states"?

    cke and Oxbow Thank this.

I don't think Idaho recognizes any benefit from 16 tire jeeps or trailers. Alberta must as well as California and Arizona, and probably Nevada. @truckdad , @Rontonio can straighten me out.

Not a very big load, but not many photos lately so I though I'd share. 329E long reach with extra counterweight plate. About 75k load, 115k gross.

Some states give you more weight for wider axles. That trailer let's them run wide axles loaded and then get narrow again when they don't need the extra weight allowance.

That's pretty much a CA spec trailer. Won't find many of them outside the state.

That was posted laying in my bed at home.;)

I can't travel past noon today until Monday morning. They just needed to load it to count as shipped for the end of the month. I left it there and bobtailed home. I don't feel like sitting in a truck stop until Monday.
