Yeah. Roberts Ridge and indirectly to New Bethel. Two miles up New Bethel on the left. That little jaunt takes over an hour with two Troopers as escorts.

Discharge Cooler for natural gas production. Exactly how it fits into the process is a bit over my head.

We are bringing it in Monday morning. Last I heard we are going to drop the trailer to be unloaded whenever.

    Heres what I wanna know...
How do you guys know what to put on your permits for weights?
Obviously not talking about moving identical pieces, rather when you show up to haul something either new or havent hauled in a while.

I ask because when I permit, they always ask my axle weights. Sometimes theres a scale close, sometimes there isnt.
Do you guess, then have the permits amended once you scale?

    Landincoldfire Thanks this.

Some of our trailers have on-board scales others just an air gauge. Sometimes they have nothing or the above doesn't work. Then I'm pretty much hoping the shipper gives me the actual weight. I pull enough of the same types of trailers to keep a cheat sheet of what weights should be.

Man, it's nice to pre order permits. Once you get used to your trailer, it'll be a breeze. If you're getting it built, add some type of on-board scale.

    Feedman and RollinThunderVet Thank this.

That's what I figured. I try to preorder. Most of my permits wih my stepdeck. So far, I've only had to amend for size discrepancies, but on the heavier loads I've just guessed and I've never had a DOT officer say anything. Wih the RGN I'm going to be doing much heavier.

I dont mind planning the first day to sit and wait for permits, just didnt know if that was acceptable to drive to a scale unpermitted? That seems like it would be a huge no-no..

No it isn't legal to go to a scale without permit. Should have a pretty good idea and preorder 1st. Permit. Then once you get weights order the others. It will take time to get use to it. If you have weight gauges pay attention and write them down in a ledger for future reference.

Landincoldfire, cke, Feedman and 2 others Thank this.
