Also, if most states only allow 20k on any particular axle, why do most newer trailers have 25k axles or 275s instead of 255s?
Seems the most on any tridem would be 60k right? Or can you permit for 75k for the group with the right axle/tire setup?

Depends on the state. A lot of states will let you run 46K+ on a tandem if you have the axles/tires for it.

There's a couple like WI that will let you run pretty much anything as long as the equipment is rated for it.

It is claimed that a turbo can be damaged by forcing air into an exhaust system or by sucking the air out by venturi effect causing the turbo to spin un-lubed with each change in speed.
I found that a large "dog-bone" wash sponge or 2 in a plastic bag (to keep the sponge clean) worked easily and impressed the customer when you ask him to catch the sponge as you start the unit to unload.
On extra large exhaust pipes a sponge football fits well and should blow out when starting.

Don't want to skid the beam in and out under a dead machine?
I don't blame you, it is still a beacth with a winch and a skidding sled

so they tried for 2 and 1/2 hours to push it on - but hydraulics no steering- the front axle just wanders. Great except there is only about 8” tire on each side of the deck. Also, because of the design of the machine and well size - it can only be loaded steer axle first - thus pushing from the back made worse.

they gave up and used 2 container handlers and dropped it on. But It is blocked under the frame because I don’t have outriggers all the way at the back end of the deck. The delivery site is going to have to lift it off.

If I would have had my rail deck in - 2 hours I would have been loaded tied and gone.
