    Dug up a pic from a previous job; "small" rock delivery yard (34-44t). "Go grab the forklift" has a different meaning there.

    I assume that the elevator is on the other side of the loader.... LOL

    That's not a rock, it's gravel in it's original form.... :p What is that, like a 12' minus....:eek::D

    Nah, it's quarry rock they go by 1-man, 2-man, & these are "oh man, that's a small planet!"
    The ones that move on 13 axles are really big.

    Why not break them down on site before shipping?

    ACoE ocean breakwater & river projects- they won't accept anything under a certain weight depending on the project.

    So kind of like a levy?

    (Note: technically I don't even know what a levy looks like)

    Couple more pics from a friend, big rocks.
    Word around the campfire is 1/2 daycabs & 1/2 sleepers for this job. When the rocks move all the small towns, intersections, etc. along the way will have flaggers; get on the radio, take the whole road, roll through. Doing quick math* from the paperwork looks like 30,000+ loads! (1,000,000+ tons)

    *it was after a few ####tails, one eye closed & counting with my fingers.
