Sometimes the back story is even dumber then you could imagine.
This morning I had a delivery near this crossing. As I was leaving I got caught at that light after the truck in front of me missed a gear and came to a compleat stop. I was able to pull up next to the 4 wheeler in front of me to just cleared the tracks.
As I’m sitting at the light I hear two guys talking on the CB. One asks where the other one is and he reply’s “I’m sitting here on the tracks waiting for the light to change. Sure hope a train don’t come”
A hopper bottom had pulled out of the grain facility and made a conscious decision to stop across 4 active tracks instead of wait before them. All risk, zero reward.Last edited: Mar 16, 2021
cke, kemosabi49, beastr123 and 3 others Thank this. -
I do but not recently. I believe the last time I was up there was last spring. I did three trips in a row from Pennsylvania to BC. One return trip had me go down south of Portland to pick up a cannabis supply load bring back to Michigan.

Crossing a RR track and stooping before you completely clear the tracks is a minimum 60 day CDL suspension according to the FMCSA. People don't realize how serious any RR track violations can be.Tug Toy, cke, beastr123 and 1 other person Thank this.

Nothing too exciting here, 55000 gallon vertical water tank for a Kingsford charcoal plant for fire suppression. 15' 5" High, 12' 11" Wide, 90' Long, 47' in the well.

Tanks on an extendable deck can be tricky if they don't weigh enough to take the camber out of the trailer. LolPPLC, kylefitzy, shawnhhllc and 1 other person Thank this.

Funny you say that. There was a dude there that claimed he designed the pump and it's special coating. I looked at him and said farmers have been using augers like that to move poop for years.Tug Toy, beastr123, shawnhhllc and 3 others Thank this.
