Well first of all, rude! Maybe I’m sensitive about my weight.

Second that’s a stretch trailer with 1200 pounds of tarps on the top deck. They are about 5k heavier then typical 35ton rgn’s.

ok. So that should put you around 90k compared to me with a 50k excavator.

I’ll give you some extra weight for the dual stacks and heavy front axle

You carry around 3k in tarps so the rest adds up I guess.

with 50k on a 30 ton mechanical neck RGN I’m 86k flat. Roughly.

I don’t carry tarps nor have a big n cool headache rack but I do carry some heavier chains than you…. Guess it adds up about right.

When the truck was brand new I was 23,600 bobtail with 300 gallons of fuel on board. Now I’m probably closer to 24,200 but I carry a lot of gear. 10-13 shackles, 12 ratchet binders, 12 snaps, 10 16’ chains, a bunch of shorter chains, a 16x18, 16x32, and a 25x30 tarp that weighs entirely to much. We usually don’t do any freight that our empty weight really maters on. Certainly nothing that pays by the pound.

I’m doing nothing but heavy machinery on five.

I knew the stretch trailers were heavier but I didn’t think by that much — even with all the extra tarps and truck weight you may have.

I am about 30k bobtail and if I pull a little 50 ton rgn I am in the 54-55k range

my 55 ton stretch with no booster or flip is probably 30k or so

with this truck and my old 3/3/2 I would be around 82-83k empty

What's your wheelbase on the new truck? How long is the slider?

298” center of steer to center of rear drive axles

the longest they would go was 72”

I have about 6” of forward slide available and am loading 17-18k on the steer where it is. I don’t have a good picture or I would post it.

loaded with a 125k tower on 10 axles I am just in the low 190’s gross
