Coworker, I'm on a big mill roll to Granite City.

 

Just curious what kind of pay structure you have? And also, what would you change about your current pay structure? We are currently looking re-work our pay structure.

 

Well it’s more complicated that it needs to be. Here’s the simple version.

If your available for dispatch 24 days of the month and you don’t have a driver related service failure, you’re paid for 9900 miles, no mater what. If you don’t have any accidents or CSA violations add 5cpm. After 9900 miles every mile driven is paid 20 extra cents for performance, and 20 extra cents for Safety. So after 9900 miles I make .50 (base rate), .10 (untaxed perdiem), .05 (safety), .20 (performance), .20 (safety performance) for a grand total of $1.05 per mile.

on top of all that we can make up to .27 extra for oversize pay. I hover around .90 per mile but I stay out longer then most.

 

Light haul on the trailers maiden voyage. Fontaine LX40. Machine is 17k lbs just under 10 ft wide.
