    I'm getting old & have been sittin on the porch too long I guess, but would someone explain the turning capabilities of that pair of 3 axle groups?

    Ruthless, Let's go with American wind transport.
    Looks like an old ATS Peterbilt and I know a few guys left ATS and went to American. They were wanting me to come over, but the guy running the show in Tx. was giving me the run around towards crunch time

    It all depends on the setup. We have some beam trailers that are 2 tandem groups and all they do is crab left or right. In other words both groups turn left or both groups turn right. Now on the big three axle group dollies you have 3 options for steering. You can crab like the smaller trailers or you can steer with the front axle group and for really tight turns, you can hinge them. With the hinge for a right turn the front group would turn right while the rear group would turn left. You can make some really tight corners with that one.

    I have looked at that trailer. I can imagine they had some problems because that trailer really isn't meant to be run like that, eventually it will break as the neck isn't stout enough not like a true Canadian scissorneck.
