I don’t have a flip neck. I wish I did, but I can only cheat the pusher and hope for the best.

That’s why I don’t want a spreader bar. It will only exasperate the need for a flip box.

True enough. I have a one piece nitro stinger for this trailer but I is Florida at friends yard. It would have uncomplicated the previous load

I found a one piece rigid for mine. At a great price too, but without a box and a trailer not prepped for it I figured it’s not worth it. Plus I turned my flip axle into a hydro flip last year. That was money well spent.

rigid suck, in my opinion. I had one years ago - mechanical 55 ton 2 axle with intermediate flip and rigid spreader for the 4th. Shimming the #### thing was a giant pain. if going to go with rigid then Go west coast set up. Way easier

I agree. Nitro’s are great. But they are pricey. But I suppose everything else in this business is as well.

I have been contemplating one of these:

I would have to have the back of my Aspen modified to accept this. Assuming that can be done properly, does anyone have good or bad experience with a booster like this?

That is vey like mine, mine is an older model made by superior/express welding. They work great, but take getting used to. As you load up the booster it pushes weight forward to the drives, so you end up have to load the machine farther back in the well to make right

I don’t know if you can get away with running a quad in your part of the world. If you can I would go that route first. It’s easier on the trailer. Most trailers need extra reinforcement along the rear to be able to accommodate the extra strain a stinger puts on it. Also like @Rontonio said. The farther you push that back axle the more it throws weight to the front. Without a long slide and a big neck you end up overloading the drives and are unable to transfer the weight to the steer.

basically without 120” swing and heavy steers a stinger becomes a liability not an asset. Especially if you are running a shorter well.

These are just my opinions though. And based on my area and the type of freight I haul.

    Wow 340lbs light in total.
I had never got closer than 300lbs on an axle and 800lbs gross on 5 or 6axles, 1700lbs on 8 or 9axles.
And I was proud of that.

cke, CAXPT and Oxbow Thank this.
