In the late 70s I pulled a Fruehauf 75 ton setup (2+8+16+16+4 tires) and tore the bottom pin out of the stinger. It was steel on steel with no lube provided.
Fruehauf Calgary had it for 4 weeks and it had sealed bearings top and bottom as well as hydraulic dampers to stop tailwagging when I picked it up.cke, Ruthless, CAXPT and 1 other person Thank this. -

There is a brand new 75 ton Aspen 2+3+2 (I think) for sale at Ritchie Bros in Chehalis. This struck me as odd, and then I looked at Peters and Keats website and there was no mention of Aspen trailers, and they used to sell a lot of Aspens.
There is no point behind this, I just found it interesting. Perhaps Aspen has priced themselves out of the Northwest market?cke, Feedman, Landincoldfire and 2 others Thank this. -
I use mine all the time. Very happy with it. Definitely takes a little getting used to in order to speed things up.

. Was your trailer built with the attachment points for it? And do you end up quite heavy on the front with that?
CAXPT, cke, Landincoldfire and 4 others Thank this. -
2004 65 ton. Yes it has the attachment points from the factory. I dont have a problem with being heavy on the front, usually around 15-15500. Legal for 15600, legal for 163000 with this setup here. I have the full string but rarely have to use it.
