Going to NC out of Houston, yeah we have been doing a lot of them, first I've got, I got pulled into it cause I deadheaded from Tucson to Aspen in Waco to do some repair work on a cross member that cracked. Boss man wanted an opinion he could trust on if we should scrap it. Apparently at one point we were 40% of Thier customers.
But yeah NC ran me around weird. Being 15'6" I'm not surprised (permitted at 15'11") the rest of our loads that loaded up same day as me were all stretch's.
Getting out of the gate was fun. This 122 turns about like a cruise ship

Yea whoever decided to ship big loads out of that place deserves a couple whacks with a shovel. Last trip for me down there it took us about an hour to get all 3 trucks out into the road. All 3 of us were around 300 wheelbase with trailers stretched to 85+ ft. We would pull into the docks across the road and then back into that next driveway to the west before turning onto the road.
Hopefully they are actually back on schedule. That customer spent a stupid amount of money on detention pay with how far behind they were.
Good luck with that one. Hope all goes well for you. -
You ain't kiddin
I desperately need a drink about now.
Translation it didn't go well. And we done ran out of shrink wrap and went into zip tape.
I was going to be on schedule to get all the way up to the Petro not far away,,, but I had to stop and fix that up ..
Let go right on the seam,, used some 16ft 4x4s to crawl up and stitch it together
God prefers Diesels, W923, Razororange and 9 others Thank this. -
Wow! What a mess lolRazororange, cke, CAXPT and 4 others Thank this.

And the final end to the plastigeddon.
Had about 300 miles to go, held up for most of it, but in the last 80 or so miles it got worse and worse.
"I'll be there in an hour, plastic tore open again"
"I don't care if it all falls off"
"Finally some good news"
Nostalgic, God prefers Diesels, W923 and 11 others Thank this. -
The good news is, it's not plastic.
The bad news, it's my first tarp load since last June. And of course me not thinking, had brand new tarps which were ,,, fun to sort out on top of the load.
Least they will be folded right next time.
Gonna go about 700 miles and sit on it till Thursday. The joys of salary.God prefers Diesels, Razororange, cke and 8 others Thank this. -
Ever time i get new tarps i unroll & re roll them somewhere convenient first: without fail they are rolled up some kind of way that makes a man wonder if the manufacturer understands how they get put on.stwik, Nostalgic, God prefers Diesels and 14 others Thank this.
