    He was at the fuel
Island next to me - so I got to see him for a few minutes til his wife made him go to work

Truth told I was going meet up with him last night but had to stop in Beaumont to fix an airline

Myself and one other driver spent the last 2 days moving a crushing plant and all the associated crap that goes with it. Of the 12 loads that I moved, only 1 was legal size and there were only 2 that I did not need the light bar for. Man do I want a wireless one.

That would be the cushion hitch, and if memory serves they will drop automatically when the engine is shut off if they are not lowered manually from the cab. New machines may vary though.

Also, and I don't remember why, a block can be placed in the cushion hitch gap between the neck and the tractor so that it will not settle all the way down.
We rented some 627's from a fellow in Wyoming, and he hauled them away after the job was finished. His driver would place the block in to help with his configuration. Again, I can't remember his reason, but he hauled those machines all the time and had it figured out for his set up.

Edit: I think that the reason he put the block in was to help to keep the back end a bit lower. I remember helping him remove the stack on the rear engine, but even after that it was the highest part of the load.

This would not be an issue on a 631 though as it is not a twin engine.

The "banana" that Hammer is refering to is easily visable in post #770. It opens & closes the door of the can. If one is not able to lower the can down far enough, you can disconnect the arm at the front of the door thus allowing the "banana" to drop all the way down to make height. I never had to do this with my jeep & dolly as 14-6 was easy & I was able to make 14-8 on my 9 axle without disconnecting it.
