It was -14 in Minot, nd this morning and a guy was walking his dog in a tee shirt, gym shorts, and flip flops, no hat or coat. I guess that’s one way to wake up.

Starting equipment out in the field, much below -10, without a current bush to plug things into gets pretty tough. Hard on things too.

Buddy of mine works for a local paving company. Any time it gets near 0 they just send everybody home for the day and park everything.

Was down in SC last week unloading in 40°F. All the guys from down there looked like they were ready for a blizzard. They were looking at me like I was crazy with a T shirt.

How many of you guys trying to start equipment in the field, when its well below zero. Have taken a bag of charcoal briquettes, light them up and put them under the engine. Then take a tarp, wrap it around the truck or equipment. Sit back and have a couple cups of coffee then fire it up.

When there's work that needs to be done, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Early 80's between Xmas and new years, the temp never got above zero. I had parked it by mom and dad's.
3 bags of charcoal to get it to fire up. Cracked the concrete all to heck.
Guess who ended up pouring new concrete in the spring. Lol

If you set the drum down real hard, the teeth dig into the deck and you don't even need chains.
