Geez man, that banner looks like something you'd see on a raggedy Volvo.
But it's not covering your headlights, so ya got that going for you, which is nice....Hahaha

    Here's another for your collection.

Live floor walker, that I used to haul(not this one) to landfill sites. We were pulling basically 120k-136k with these, and you had to make sure you raised the dump axles everytime you went around a curve, or had to turn, less you start scraping rubber and have the truck push you were you didn't want to go. :(

Sure am glad I was young, dumb and lucky when I was pulling these. :) There was so much weight, I couldn't go fast if I wanted...until you hit the highway, and still, you had to slow during curves and raise those dump axles and put them back down...and don't get caught with them up by DOT looking for you, so your eyes and attention was everywhere. :)

I been seeing some Volvo drivers attaching their banners on the roof above the marker lights. I'm guessing because these new trucks have all the safety/radar crap on the bumpers. Have seen the headlights being covered as well... lol

I hauled our long reach to our next project yesterday and had to go through the west POE on I84 near Declo. It is a newer POE for Idaho with all the bells and whistles and signs to bypass or not. upload_2025-3-1_11-13-8.jpeg

We often get to bypass even with an OS/OW load, evidently because when there system gathers license plate information out on the freeway it must pull our permit info as well. No such luck yesterday. I exited and rolled across the scale wathcing the sign board and got a message to park for inspection. I did and grabbed my permit book and met the officer by the back of my trailer. After exchanging pleasantries he said that I need 35k of WLL and he just wanted to check on my securement. I told him that he was pretty close on the weight of the load and needed securement, but how did he know not knowing my tare weight? He held up his phone and had googled 329E specs and had the basic machine weight. He checked securement and sent me on my way.
