Ha ha, I looked long and hard at the picture at first thinking her head not quite streamlined enough for a Greyhound but then, at the same time, not quite what I am used to sizewise for a Dane, and eventually came down on the appreciative body line.

She is certainly a very graceful Dane. ;-)

Feedman, CAXPT and cke Thank this.

no worries - she is very small for a Dane. I had a wonderful retired greyhound for almost 10 years. He was very near he same size as Zoe.

I love big dogs but don't appreciate the rather damp mouths they often have (being a bit diplomatic here ;-)) But a friend has had half a dozen Danes but now down to 2. Recently I had to deliver a rescue dog to her place when she was not there. The rescue was gentle enough but desperate to get out of the cage so much so that I couldn't get a hold of the collar. I phoned her to shut the remote gate in case I lost him and she did so. I did manage it and get him into the very large cage prepared for him and, after a bit of a cuddle he was happy to be there and I went back to the car, but suddenly realised that the gate was still shut, and she was answering her phone no longer.

Phoned a mutual friend who said that a door to the house was normally unlocked and that I should go in there and through the adjoining door to the kitchen, where the Danes were, to grab a bunch of keys from the keybox near the other door. I did so, bravely keeping on despite the very deep and loud barking by the giants who had detected my presence. Happily they were very pleased to see me and, various keys in hand, finally managed my escape. It had been an end to a very stressful day, the idiot woman who had agreed a rdv for 1pm to hand over her dog, eventually arrived at 3.30 keeping me and my Beauceron, Jules, in 38c heat for all that time. Finally glad to be home over 4 hours later than planned.

They are a few of them popping up around here. Naturally they don’t work on my setup. But I have hauled a few of their grinders. Lots of landfills buying those to grind old tires.

CAXPT, Feedman, cke and 1 other person Thank this.
