    There is a wedge behind the kingpin that fits in the fifth wheel. That is hooked to a hydraulic cylinder that pushes fluid to cylinders on each axle which turns them. There is also an AOL on the trailer so you can manually steer it and also change deck height from 30" to 48".

    I'm hauling girders mostly, but I also haul other oversize/overweight loads. Fun stuff!

    Ahh fair enough, but we don't just do long loads at Davey. I just pulled a 14' wide a few weeks ago. The Port Mann is completed, but we're hauling to all the Kiewit jobsites along Hwy 1, as well as the South Fraser perimeter road, Langley Bypass, and all the other fun stuff that requires girders and deck panels... Ran some girders out to Banff last month too. Who did you end up working for out in Alberta?
