I have had the 124 come into my hometime airport to pick up various helicopters and such. Air Bridge Cargo is Volga Dnepr which operate the Antonov 124's. Very nice photos. I always favor the 124's as they are lower to the ground versus the 744F/744ERF 748F's.

    Colorado Green,

Congrats on being our youngest heavy hauler. I think you should have your thread about your adventures. You ever consider going to AK and driving for Carlisle??

Thanks, Challenger. I could do a "blog" of sorts if there was enough interest. Haven't been doing a whole lot of OD lately, mostly flatbed freight.

8x8 - The red trailer in the second photo, is that a flip-over on the neck?

CG I'm sure he'll be along to correct me but that wheeler looks old enough that it has a slide in neck extension rather than a flip.

8x8 those peerless trailers sure are nice huh. I used to pull the purple one you guys have now and it was the best oilfield trailer I was ever under. One question though why didn't you drop your booster to crawl under the sub they are so easy to put on?

True. I hadn't looked real close. The lack of ears and the height difference between flanges would kind of indicate that.

I had it all connected in yard before leaving, so just air down the booster, locked the steering and backed under it, always like backing up with a jeep, because I learned the hard way, so few people can do it.
Peerless are now Scona, so the new Scona's are mostly Peerless with some Scona designs features, they are 1 of best oilfield trailers out there, Gerry's 2nd & Aspen 3rd

Neck extension was a pin on, the shop Fab/Welder had to rework its attachments as I ran this ext' in the trailer all the time, when winching heavy loads, the extension was folding up with the stress until the pins were reworked.

FYI I left Hemphill-Speedy when they became TForce so these are all older pics
