Posted this over on the regular flatbed side but I guess it qualifies for this thread.

This is an old one I finally got from my phone onto my computer and thought I'd share. My first real "big" load, a 13' wide dump body I took from Laredo to the CAT plant in Decatur. Luckily only had to have escorts in OK and MO, though tbh being my first wide load like this I would've preferred to have him in TX and IL too, but got er done either way heh.

So I finally have my own Oversize load to post.

I bought this skidder in Pembroke NH and decided I would move it legally. It is 11'2" wide. So I called up and got the permit from NH, 6 bucks, NICE. Then VT makes you go through a service, $40 JJkeller+ $35 VT= $75 :( NY was $40. So the plan was to leave in the morning and be back before sunset, as the permits say. I found a rolloff to go up close to there two towns away. Well "Well laid plans" and all. I finally got it on my trailer at 6 PM. Ended up leaving after chaining, flagging, and sign age at 7 PM. It was 1100 PM when we finally got back to this field where I have a "dock" cut out to make these things easier. What a pain OS is! The rate would have to be way high to make it worth the extra crap you have to deal with.

Trucking is fun when you dont have to deal with the po po. But logging is more fun because you dont have regs to worry about. But trucking is soo easy its hard to not do it for the money. :)

    truckdad Thanks this.

Not exactly a heavy load but it is 9 foot wide. First time hauling our new wheel loader off the farm to Vdot because there loader went down. We Worked it 75 hours from Sunday night till Thursday afternoon loading salt and pushing up incoming loads of salt and gravels! View attachment 78009

8L 0n 7.jpg Here is an 8-L on a Murray 7 axle. This machine plowed plastic drain line into the ground 3-5 feet deep while packing gravel around the pipe at the same time. A gravel hopper mounted to the top of the ripper assembly & was fed by a cat 966 loader. Spools of 3-4" perforated pipe was mounted also & was fed in behind the 1' wide "shoe" that ripped thru the farmers field. This was done primarily in fields that had poor drainage. The box in front was a fuel tank/counterweight. weighed in at about 50 tons.

Just a few old pictures of a couple of our excavators. Also a couple legal multiple loads that we often haul together in any configuration of twos. All legal gross and axle weights but close with the multiples!
