You can send it to the guy in rabbis video, he has a youtube channel called Mikes radio repair. There are a few guys here that can do it. Im not a tech, just a curious ham radio operator, but i have more equipment on my bench than most cb shops do. This is basic repair 101, so anyone with the proper tools can do it.

Up here $90 per hour for radio shop so cheaper to buy a new one IMOrabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
I think Cobra 29LTD is nothing in front of SR-955. Because I have used the Cobra 29LTD for five years. And in five years, I have faced a lot of issues with it. One of the most common issues that I was facing after every 6 to 7 months were
1) The problem is Pinmic, the place where we fix the mix. After every 6 to 7 months mainly August and in November. Don't know why lol.
2) Not that kind of audio power which I want to here.
The main thing is the COBRA company doesn't understand our feelings. They don't know how we earn, they don't know after traveling a lot of mileage, with passing through a lot of troubles. We get our money. But here, I will say "Thanks to my brother "Travis Jason" who just bring the SR-955 for me from his pocket money. Well, it was in used condition but was working much better than the cheap, junky radios. I am using the sr-955hpc for 14 months and it is working fine. not facing any kind of problem, No Pinmic problem, No audio problem. Fully Peaked and Tuned. -

I’m not sure what you are talking about. Good luck with your sr-955, there’s another thread on this forum about volume problems. Unfortunately there’s not a perfect radio. -
Glad I wasn’t the only one who struggled to understand that lol. First thing that shot through my head was perhaps our cobras are females and those aren’t the best months of the year
handlebar Thanks this. -
I have 2 galaxy radios, a 44 and a Pluto which is old, I mean real old. I at times shop for a new replacement on, preferably a Anytone AT6666, but I get compliments everyday on how crystal clear and loud my radio is Galaxy Pluto is that I just figure to keep it running. I’m running the original Wilson 2k which as a matter of fact might be as old as the radio, I replace the Turner 56 mic with the SRA 198. I still ha e the 56 mic out away but seems to run better with the 198. Yes, I have had couple of golden screwdriver techs get in it BUT, I picked them and told them what to do and what not to touch. Also, as age does settle in, solder joints do come apart and galaxies are know for it. But over all, I’m keeping my Galaxy Pluto and I will never part with it.
