    AWWWW I picked up bits n pieces with what some say here and there and watchin youtube vids..Usually I just need a lil direction and I go digging..

    Well you have definitely jumped in headfirst. You even owned two antenna analyzers and learned how to use them. Most people probably have no idea what they are, let alone how to use one.

    Yeah the mfj is just sittin here now..Ill have to put it up for sale one of these days..Dont need 2 ..

    They are great tool. I use an old MFJ 259 that I bought several years ago. The only thing I wish it had was the reactance readout capability. It even helped me figure out the velocity factor of some coax I bought several years ago. Pretty handy tool when you need it.

    it should be able to with that complex reading bs I don't know..lol..Unless that was an upgrade on the b model..

    Have you tried to get a pdf on the b model and see if it applys to your earlier model??

    Yeah that feature was presented with the B&C models. I know a lot of guys complain about the quality control of the MFJ products, but over the years I guess I’ve been pretty lucky and haven’t really had any issues with the things I’ve bought from them.

    You pretty much confirmed my long standing beliefs on this subject matter and it recently was brought back into mind after having a spirited conversation ( debate) with a fellow driver or dinner, and of course his opinion was that a radio turned up to max , with coils spread, and limiter removed was the only way to go. I didnt get a chance to hear his radio on air, and I am sure I probably didnt want to.
