A wife once asked her husband for 10,000 dollars for a boob job. The husband gave her some toilet paper and told her to rub it between her boobs. The woman asked why? He said because you've been rubbing your buttcrack for years with it and look how big that has gotten. On a serious note I'd like to go back to flat bedding but 6'2" and 360lbs. I have a lot of experience but I've never had to tarp. I'm not very agile but even worse I have a terrible fear of heights. I'd love to find a ro-ro job hauling equipment. I live 15 minutes from the port of Baltimore, but most of the trucks coming in and out want you out 14-21 days at a time or more. Guess I gotta stick with the tankers.
Big man looking for a job!

We had a guy working for us, who was 6'1', about 360. He did OK, but his attitude sank him. Always complaining about things, never happy.
I don't think your attitude will be a problem. Virginia shouldn't be a problem WRT hometime, etc.
Have you inquired into Roehl?mixonjr Thanks this. -
I tell you what,if I was a recruiter I would pull some strings to get you hired because I like your up lifting attitude.

Yeah I applied with them never heard anything back. Thanks for the help!

So many of these wannabes come in here wanting maximum dollar and minimum effort. They want to put in for their paid vacation before they even get hired. There are some things that have to be earned. It's like a high school footballer demanding a shoe deal.
It's quite refreshing to see someone whose willing to work. I wish you much success.mixonjr Thanks this. -

By the way I was in the paper this past sunday backing a truck. Our local news paper did a big report on the ins and outs of trucking in todays world. If anyone wants to check it out here is the link. http://www.roanoke.com/business/news/article_041cc35e-7a3b-11e3-85e9-0019bb30f31a.html Also im the big guy in the second picture one called butter bean.

I like veteran driver Gene Guillory's first statement on driver shortage... "We got a shortage of companies who treat drivers right,".
BTW, Here's a link to get the FMCSA safety scores for researching any company that you have questions about.
Many times it's helpful in weeding out particularly bad or unsafe outfits.
Some higher scores (higher = worse) can be either the fault of drivers, or company, or both. The specific violations can sometimes help determine which.
