    Its already started.

Wait times for a new truck are already way down, as are prices.

You are correct in saying when, not if, and it has begun.

Wait times are down, yes. Prices? Ha, that’s a good one.

I don’t see truck prices coming down soon although the economy is going in the toilet. Most midsize companies that I keep in contact with are still waiting on trucks. For months. And parts for the broken trucks. I have no idea what the heck is going on why things are still so backed up. This isn’t about Covid anymore. Same thing with automobiles although they are finally starting to get caught up a little bit with four wheelers.

I don’t think it’s just owner operators who are going to feel the pain. Even company drivers. We’re all gonna be making less money this time next year.

That’s when OEMs have relatively abundant supply. Something we still do not have going on 2 years now. It will be until at least Q3 next year for them to catch up on the orders they have now. If the economic slump continues until then, we will all have bigger things to worry about.

Mmhmm. You’re the only one then.

I was talking to one of my check-in guys at a Ford dealer about this, yesterday. Asked if parts were still a problem (there were waiting-on-service vehicles everywhere) and he said some things were a problem, but it was more that nobody will work overtime to get them caught back up.

    Lennythedriver Thanks this.
