That was exactly my point. Then when I can pass them, I generally look at them, mostly to see what someone that stupid looks like, they look like “ gee, was I in your way”?

In the areas that does have a lot of traffic, specifically on ramps, I can’t take that after awhile and have to move it on over; lot less stressful in the middle lane, no idiots merging in front of you and going slow as hell because they forgot where the hell the accelerator is; sheesh if you’re gonna merge and you’ve got the room do what I do in the couple times I’ve driven a car, give that beech all she’s got and zip right in with the flow of traffic lmfao

Railroads, tug & barge operators and pilots are among those jobs that have DOT regulated HOS regulations.

Yes. Many don’t seem to understand how to merge properly. The healthy seem to be able to “put it to the wood” and jump out there ahead of traffic, the fearful ones hit the brakes at the yield sign. That sign does not say surrender.

Almost every day I encounter one, or several of these. They come down the onramp way in front of me, already going faster. In some cases legitimately a 1/4 mile or more out in front. And what do they do:
    1. Usually slow, allowing me to catch up and be side by side to them....
2.....at which point they turn on their blinker and often will finally “merge” only, oh wait, there’s a giant truck beside them now....
    3. ....then they’ll either stop, or blast their horn or both.
4.....as they finally get on the freeway, they’ll often catch up to you and flip you off or get in front of you and slow down. (Had this happen several times)
i’ve literally come up beside people who are just completely staring at their phone while merging onto the freeway and it’s the last second they realize it’s time to get over in there I am right beside them. And then they freak out.

I had a guy just the other day try to pass me on the right side of the shoulder trying to merge and he realized he wasn’t going to make it. I couldn’t get over because there was a truck side-by-side with me. The guy harassed me on the freeway for about 10 miles before exiting. As I went by the exit, he got back on the freeway and harassed me again for another five minutes. I almost called the cops on him, but figured he’d get over it.

there’s so many bad drivers out there. For various reasons.

Back when I used to actually try to use the right lane around Chicago I had one moron in a little Miata looking vehicle try to do the same thing. I'm going 60-65 in a 60, dude thinks that 85-90 is going to work while not taking the incoming 6ft tall, 2ft thick concrete barrier into consideration.

After that day I use the 2nd lane almost exclusively and just keep rolling as fast as possible to GTFO of that ####hole. If I have to pass an idiot I just go over to the 3rd lane for a few seconds. The cops don't seem to mind.

Oh yeah that Indiana to Illinois on 80 is almost full on trucks in the 3rd lane trying to get around all the slow spineless ones doing 55-60 in the 2nd lane
