I drive through Chicago quite frequently and the most trouble I’ve ever had with the 2 Left Lane thing I was cruising in the middle lane, A very stern Looking woman cop pulled up on my left and turn her ights on to get me to look over at her and then she pointed for me to move over. LOL and gave me a dirty look. Then she took off and left me alone as I moved over.

    My biggest pet peeves:
    1. A 62.1 mph truck who ABSOLUTELY has to get into the left lane going up a hill and hold up traffic for 10 miles so he can pass a 62.0 mph truck and neither will give up
    2. Idiot truck drivers who text while driving. It’s bad enough when the idiot 4 wheelers do it but I’d you’re doing it in a truck you need your CDL revoked
    3. Speeding thru truck stops. I get it, you prime and CR England guys are governed slow but you don’t have to try to rebuild your fragile little egos by flying thru a crowded parking lot
    4. Container super truckers. There are a lot of them here in SC especially near Charleston. They drive their pos 3 color duct tape mirror bungee cord fender trucks like bats out of hell and will ride your butt in the right lane and then pass you and then slow down because their pos can’t make it up a hill at a speed greater than 35 mph. They also NEVER blink their lights after you flash to let them over so I’ve stopped

I know that’s long but that’s some of my pet peeves lol. I try to keep some humor and laugh at some of these situations to keep from getting too worked up

We use those same Scott masks as in your picture. If you have a trailer with an air bottle and a hose reel then you carry a 5 minute ELSA pack, otherwise you carry a 30 minute pack. Sorry, I don't have any pics, I lost them all when my old HD crashed.

Do those things not have some kind of a password you have to enter before they will allow the user to change the settings?

That would be the first trainer I had back when I was a rookie. Dude claimed that he didn't have time to shower more than once per week, but somehow he had time to sit down and eat a T-bone steak for dinner every night. Nasty MFer...

If you pull a reefer for awhile you’ll wake out of a dead sleep if it shuts off . I do anyways .

No. The cap on a bottle of water is more secure than a set of reefer controls

Welp... luckily I've never had one shut off on me. So I'm gonna have to trust your word on this one

Another one I have is when you courteous and move over to let a few four wheelers more easily merge, then they sit right beside you for five miles, slowing and speeding at your pace so you can’t get back over, meanwhile everyone is piling up behind you thinking “why won’t this idiot get out of the way“. Lol

When this thread was started I spent some time reading some of the comments. I agree with some and some others I don't quite agree. I was reading this again a few minutes ago and was reminded of something my father said several years after he retired. He said his biggest complaint as a driver (1950s - 1992) was the other truckers he had to share things with.

Today I almost bust out laughing when I hear or read drivers complain about "four-wheelers". The reason is most of the truckers today are just driving commercial vehicles with the mindset of a four-wheeler driver! Sorry, the truth hurts sometimes.
