    Sometimes what will happen is the customer will give you an appointment time even if they don't care what time you are there, they just need to put in a time so they have your delivery on the books, so to speak. Your dispatcher won't necessarily tell you when this happens.

    Best thing to do if you are ahead of schedule is call the customer and ask them if they want you early. Make sure you are polite. If they will take you early let your dispatcher know what time you will be there so he is updated on your availability.

    Or if you are ahead of schedule and you decide you would rather sleep in, I would say go for it and tell dispatcher to pound sand. But only do that if you are parked close to the delivery. You don't want to be sitting around if you still have hundreds of miles to go, in case you have a breakdown or something. But there is no rule saying you HAVE to deliver early just because you can. That's just your dispatcher being an idiot (like that would ever happen lol).

    Turns out you were pretty much right, I got here two hours ahead of schedule and even though I didn’t call as you suggested (I tried), I’m getting unloaded right now; I would rather be super early than late, I’ll have to keep this one in mind for now on

    Exactly why I said that, lots I don’t know; you’re more than welcome to refer to me as “John” unless you get the giggles from picturing me with a straw hat and a piece of straw in my mouth to go along with my overalls and long sleeve shirt hahaha I’m not very good at small talk and asking about a man’s wife might go south because I’ll say something stupid/awkward, always been a bit antisocial

    When Mickey D's had that 'free month' for 1st responders and that bs going on, my wife BLEW them up on FacePalm... and I've got SOOOO MANNNNY free coupons in the mail, haha! Her thing was.. : WITHOUT US TRUCKERS, HOW DO YOU EVEN FEED PEOPLE, AT ALL?!?!?
