I have a question about billing.
How would you bill your customer for delivering two pieces of rolling equipment to two different locations in the same state.
Both pieces originate from the same shipper. The first piece travels 350 miles to the delivery point and the second piece travels another 150 miles.
Any insight is greatly appreciated. :-D
    Thanks

you see loads posted on the board all the time. they look like a good deal. but when you call. there's more then one stop. that good deal isn't a good deal anymore.

the rate is from start to finish.

If both pieces are picked up from the same location then I would calculate all of the miles from pickup to final delivers, add for the extra stop and send them a bill. From your post it seems that there are about 500 miles total. If your rate is $2/mile, then you charge them $1,000 for the run, plus the stop. Most charge from $60-75/per stop. If you charge more per mile, then use that number rather than the $2 that I noted.

Thanks G Man. Both pieces were picked up at the same location. My thinking was to bill mileage to the first stop and bill millage from that stop to the second . It comes better for me.
    Have a great Turkey Day
