"Alas, the deal about surcharges, is ########, those should not be pulled out b-4 your paid."
If you do not own the truck or pay out of your pocket you are not entitled to get any portion of the FSC that is there for the owner to help comp for the added fuel cost. And when it comes down to it most contracts seperate the 2.It is usually gross to haul some may include loading and unloading some may have that seperate as well + fsc.If you are entitled to 25% of the gross thats what it is 25% of line hual not fsc.
Same goes for loading and unloading unless you are paying out of your pocket to load/unload the truck that as well is entitled to the person who's pocket comes out of.Baack Thanks this. -

OK they are bad, but if a person goes to work there and can deduce that it is bad and dee dee out of there. Why did the rest of you stay, with at least one of you getting in a wreck who knew they were bad.
My point is that I don't stick my hand in a fire because I learned that it hurts. Some drivers seem to stay at these outfits despite the pain.
The FMCSA I believe has a whistleblowers hotline that you can call and tell them the problems of the company also.
You can also contact the office that is responsible for carrier compliance in your state. If enough drivers get involved they might just get off their behinds and do something.Elg1968 and _ton bundle Thank this. -
Why do some drivers stay? They only have 25 trucks, and even with 100%+ annual turnover, you can keep those trucks filled. I don't know that drivers are staying. I have never talked to anyone there except a 'new' Bjorklund driver.
The FMCSA is well aware of them. They have a 90.31 for DRSEA and 92.11 VHSEA, in 2006 they were at 58.66 and 67.90 respectively. They have had 2 fatal accidents in the past 24 months. The FMCSA knows all of this and still gave them a satisfactory rating in November of 2008. What more info do they need?
I think you have your head in the clouds if you think whistleblower calls are going to do anything. The FMCSA does not exist to protect commercial drivers or the general public. That 'mission' is a pretext for them to raise funds for the government and funds to sustain their own institution.
The only thing a whistleblower is going to do is ruin his or her own career. Do you think you can remain annonymous? Sorry, it's public record. Talk to a whistleblower one time, see if they would do it all over again. The government agency will always take the side of the company and figure that you are just a disgruntled employee or ex-employee. The company has lawyers, trade associations, experience in these matters, connections and more money than you. The deck is stacked against the employee every time. -
I posted here to help others avoid the company.
Yes I worked for Bjorklund, they hired me - and after driving for them for a while - I knew it was a bad company - so I left.
Bjorklund has been reported, and whistle blown on many times in the past. You are right, it does LITTLE to know good. Bjorklund is STILL putting warm bodies in the drivers seats regardless.
So the point of this thread IS to warn others about the dangerous equipment, and shady dealings of the owner._ton bundle Thanks this. -
Well thanks for the warning. I guess the point of my post was missed. If you know a company has been "a horror story" for years, then don't be one of the warm bodies put in the drivers seat. You think?

thanks for the warning was thinking about work for them but after seeing what wason here ::not:::: even going to
