Has anyone played Black Ops III? I have this weekend. And I like it. The new things they've added make the game a lot funner than before. I especially like the ability to jump and run on walls. This is a lot better than having to run around and climb up stairs and other things. Now, just a few taps of the X button, and you're flying.
And the specialty characters is an added bonus. I've used most of them so far. Some I like. Some I have no use for. I like using the one that has the "Hive". It shoots a canister of killer bee's. The bee's don't release until after an enemy gets too close to them.
The Thermite grenades are pretty awesome.

I downloaded the PS3 version because I haven't gotten a PS4 yet. There's no campaign mode on the PS3. But, that's ok. I usually do team deathmatch anyways. But it does have a practice mode that doesn't affect your K/D ratio. And gives you a chance to try out all the weapons, perks & specialties.

sorry to say, that at my age, the only games i play are,

"can i make it to the toilet, before my bowel movement happens"

    or,

"can i pee when i need to"

back in the day, i had a simple video games.

one was "pong", in black and white, and i had two joystick controls (up and down, ONLY)

then i had some hamburger game, with multi levels, i think i could only ,make it to like level 7

talk about first generational video games.

you people nowadays have such wonderful games, so incredibly fast, thanks to the computer chips, graphics, etc.

and the animation is out standing.

best of luck, and i hope you have many hours of fun, but be forewarned

someday you too, will be playing "bathroom games"..................lol

I remember pong. I played it a few times. Back when I was around 4 or 5.
My kids got me hooked on Black Ops. Mainly because they didn't live with me. With the headsets, we could chat and play games together for hours. I guess you could call it "simulated quality time". We had a blast many nights and into the morning when they were younger.
LOL. Now they're all grown up and don't have time to play.
I met some really good people playing online. I still have some friends in the UK that keep telling me to get the PS4 so we can all get together and play some more. In fact one of them has offered to help my son find his way around, teach him about british money and other things if he decided to go to college over there.
I turns out, that playing video games online is more than just playing video games online.

I don't remember what that first online shootumup game was called. You had teams and stuff and headsets. I think it was Team Fortress. It was the same time every day around 3:30pm. I ended up always playing on this one team. I was Dr Death. Most of the time I was stuck behind a wall just jumping up and down until someone blew my head off. I would look around a corner and my head was blown off.

Then I got a headset. First thing I heard was, hey dad, Dr. Death is online. I realized it was a bunch of like 5th graders. I ended up talking to his dad and he was laughing his ### off at me.

    Holy smack that was funny.

I did that the other day. I was using my sniper rifle and was looking around. When I seen this guy sticking his head up over this wall. The third time he did it, he died.

In the new black ops 3, you can jump extremely high using jet packs on your back. This one guy jumped from the back porch of this house (was going to land on the street way below).... I shot him in mid flight. And he dropped like a rock.
I guess you had to have been there. But it was funny the way his forward motion come to an abrupt halt.

I have a friend and her son just graduated with a degree in structural engineering. He got a job right away with a gaming company. I think Rovio. His job is to supply the equations for games when someone shoots a brick or wall and how it reacts in real life. I play Angry Birds Transformers and it works and acts just like real life.

    RIGHT ON.... LOL.

I don't play games. My Harley takes up all my free time. Specially when there's women involved.

I pretty much wrote off the CoD series after MW2. Black Ops 1 was ok but I felt it was lacking something. I only bought MW3 to complete the storyline of the Modern Warfare trilogy. I got Black Ops 2 as a Christmas gift just after it came out. I played about 3 missions and I finally got around to completing it like 2 weeks ago.

I'm a gamer from way back, to the Atari 2600 actually. They've certainly come a long way, to the point now where the ones I like can pretty much be described as "interactive movies". That's pretty fitting since I my taste in games is basically the same as my taste in movies. I like action/adventure.
