I looked into them at one point, all I could really find out was that they required two years exp. Other than that all I ever heard was fairly good things out on the road.
I overnighted next to one of their trucks last year, I will say it was in good shape. Looked well maintained.

Most of the Blackhawk trucks I see around Chicago are well kept. Don't see too many during the day, but after about 7PM they're all over this place. Especially around O'Hare.

SAFESTAT shows they've reduced their fleet size from 200 down to 96 in less than 2 years. Don't know what that means, if anything.

  8. Don't know too much....here is what I can tell you.

They are owned by Hendricks Holding Co. Beloit, WI.

I work for the roofing side of one of their businesses. I drive a truck for that division. They take very good care of our equipment. We have to do PM's every 90 days...any service that is required on the equipment is performed at that time. Any problems down the road we can bring it in. Most of the equipment is less that 3 years old. Very safety orientated. We have about 350 branches and they are close to a 3 Billion dollar company.....very sound!

they got in trouble with dot didnt find out til i leased on. not to honest in my opinion. also they have no idea how to deal with o/o s. only offer 1 load take it or leave it. anywhere i was on before offered a choice,at least for following week. miles are off pc miler so they say, but arent to close. give u a pickup and trip # then on ur own. most useless dispatchers i have seen in my 35 yrs on the road. all i am saying is lease on or hire on good luck you will nead it.
