Yes, all of the trucks are auto. Some weren't but if they haven't been replaced yet they will be soon. Also driver cam/dash cam for all trucks is in the works.

I work for Black Horse doing auto parts delivery in TN. It's the easiest driving job I've ever had. It pays salary. I work 5 nights per week, off every weekend and holiday. I have to load and unload my trailer, but my work week is always well under 50 hrs. If you have any specific questions, let me know.

Its a great gig. I cover all the Mazda dealerships between Chatt and Bristol, TN (there are a total of 7 on my route). I driver comes up from the warehouse in McDonough GA every night. He meets me and the other TN driver at the Ryder yard here in Chatt. We transfer our freight from his truck to ours using the hydraulic lift gates as a bridge between the trucks (this usually only takes 20-30 mins to load both trucks). We then leave to do our routes. I have between 3 to 6 stops per night. We run nights so we are given a key to each dealership, there is no one there when we deliver. Total unloading time at each dealership takes less than 15 minutes. After the last stop we return empty to the Ryder yard in Chatt. Depending on the number of stops that I have on a given night, it takes from between 7.5 to 9.5 hours to finish my route.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I was told they only hire class A drivers with minimum 2 yrs experience. The route that they are hiring for may be a in a straight truck, but if the amount of freight increases or a new account is added to the route, they will put you in a tractor/trailer. Also, all drivers are sometimes asked to fill in on someone else's route if necessary, and you must be able to cover a Class A route.

The route I'm on, I drive a straight truck most nights but occasionally (3-4 nights per month) the amount of freight requires a day-cab with a 33 ft trailer.
