CRST driver handbook, Appendix C, pages 1 and 2. Clearly says a third preventable accident is gounds for termination. Frankly I am in my 6th month with CRST. No they are not a great company to work for. But I am accident free, ticket free, and log violation free.
Let me offer one example for you.
You say you got a ticket leaving California for tandems being set wrong on a trailer you picked up in Ca and therefore assumed to be legal in Ca.
Ever hit a dock that required tandems be set all the way back? Personally I have seen a few like that and some of those were in Ca. Your own inability to pretrip that trailer earned you the ticket, the same as your own ability to not use your mirros to see a boulder caused a preventble collision.
Make good choices no matter who signs your paycheck. YOU and ONLY you are responsible for the safe and legal operation of that truck.
Did the DOT buy your excuse that the tandems were set that way when you picked up the trailer? Of course not!
Get angry all you want but you have to at some point be honest with yourself. You have failed to care about safety. 3 wrecks in 6 months??? I have had 3 co-drivers in 6 months and between all of us we have less "accidents" than you do all by yourself. Between 4 of us we have 2, one was driver error the other was a snow plow falut as written up by local authorities. So in my case, 4 drivers 1 preventable.
You talked about your co-driver and your inability to get any sleep. How do you think she felt knowing you were a wreck looking for a place to happen. Seriously were you aiming at objects? How in the world can you have so many and still pretend to be a decent driver? Sir please burn your CDL immediately. You are a hazard to the rest of the motoring public!
Blacklisted by CRST- what can I do?
