Bamboo, you have to tell them that you were trying to collect from the broker you goat the load from, not Landstar. You only found out later it was their load. They shouldn't have a problem with you trying to collect through the collection agency. That's normal procedure. I did the same thing with a crooked broker last year that I got screwed by (Michael C. McQueen). I called every contractor, customer, supplier and consignee that had anything to do with the three loads I hauled for him and got them all to cut him off. He went out of business soon after. That was my revenge. I got Hank Seaton's office to do the collections for me. Found out that any loads that are intrastate, you cannot file on the bond for. Be warned. Also, any loads that are exempt (produce, lumber, newspaper inserts, etc.) are also not covered and if you deliver to a job site that is a government contracted job, a lien cannot be filed on the property. In my case one load was intrastate, another was a government job and the third the attorney was able to put a lien on the building being built, so we were successful in getting paid on that one pretty quick. I really liked the job Douglas did over there at TMS (Transportation Revenue Management). He is great to work with and a wealth of knowledge to tap into. Also, contact NASTC to see what benefits you'd enjoy by becoming a member (like Ansonia Credit Services for checking up on brokers or potential customers). I'm getting great fuel discounts through their program and they are a great resource for other problems, as well. I'm also a senior member of OOIDA and utilize their services, too.

Forget Landstar, there are a lot of good companies to work WITH. I've had good luck with Coyote logisticis. Even TQL has been good over all, some problems but they worked with me. Look around!

I wouldnt trust landstar. Im not o/o but I see the way their drivers drive and it is pretty bad so I would say forget it and find another load service.

Sorry guys for the late updates.

I tried to contact them. But as before, they said that it was the management's decision. No matter what I do or say, it won't change anything. They said even it was not our fault, they still won't do business with us anymore.

So this will be my last try. Landstar doesn't want to solve it, then why should I beg them. I can just haul loads for other brokers, and they can find other carriers.
