Karma catches us all sooner (my phone said 'sober', lol) or later.
You're a peach.
Over-ripe, fallen from the tree and fed upon by the ant colony that lives under said tree.
But still, you're a peach.![]()

If it was three flashes followed by three honks, it means you had a serial rapist hiding in your back seat.
Otherwise, you probably just forgot to turn your headlights on. -
-
I checked that and checked my brake lights when I got home I however didn't check my tires
-
Are you SURE your headlights were on? Like abso-certain? Most cars have running-day-lights now - so maybe they were on and you forgot to throw the switch to turn on all of your other lights?
There isn't anything I can think of that warrants an 0300 honking at besides the notion that: you are an inevitable hazard.... You could be a 19 on the 10 scale... still not honking.... (sorry *shrug*)
Maybe the truck driver was retarded. Or having a seizure. Both within the realm of possibilities. -
I was behind a truck one night that had a flat tire, off the rim, on his rear box (Reddaway line driver). I'm a local, so I knew he had at least another 50 miles to go. I tried raising him on the radio, and he was just out of reach so I couldn't pace him and get his attention, so I started turning my headlights off and on. That got his attention, we pulled over, and I showed him his flat tire.
If you see another driver doing that again, and he/she doesn't seem to be acting aggressively, the driver's probably trying to warn you of something that needs your attention. Find a safe place to pull over and do a quick walk-around.KillingTime and austinmike Thank this. -
On a related note, one day I was traveling south on I-75 in Georgia and came upon an old couple driving a little Nissan. The left rear wheel was wobbling and about to come off.
I tried pulling along the driver side and getting his attention by honking the horn a couple of times and got no acknowledgement. So, I sped up, got in front of them and slowed down to make them pass me.
When they got along side my driver's door, I was honking my horn and waving my arm frantically out the window, pointing at their rear tire. The old woman in the passenger seat would not even look at me. I'm sure she was saying to her husband, "Drive faster, Harold, I think that truck driver is a serial killer!"artek, homeskillet, KillingTime and 5 others Thank this. -
Maybe he thought you were turning and was going to let you go first. When you didn't the thought he'd be a ####### by honking at you. I don't know.

I've driven in early morning hours with very dense fog, and there will be a few driving with no headlights. I'll flash my lights trying to get them to turn theirs on.
KillingTime Thanks this. -
At 3am the driver was probably looking for a place to park or needed directions. Turn on your CB and see what he wants.
And this is for anyone. Don't have a CB? Get one for Christ's sake! Yeah, most of the time they're as useful as gum on the bottom of your shoe. But when there is a problem, you need to know it now. Not 150 miles down the road when you feel like stopping. That tire coming off, or not having trailer lights, brake catching on fire, or whatever may mean you need off the road ASAP to avoid killing someone.
