thank you and I'm sorry to hear that. My grandmother had a blood clot at 80 she had to get on medicine and they put an umbrella in her leg. She had a stroke. She was a dancer all her life but as soon as she stopped and was laying around watching TV when she retired that is when it happened.

Sorry, but not much help here on clotting. I have no experience with that.
But, yes.... I consistently have run 8hrs straight & full 11hrs for last 10yrs. If I do need to stop, I do. Just do not need to most of the time. If best fueling option presents itself, strive to work that in as 1/2hr.
Been doing that 24/7/365 for last 10yrs. Went 4yrs before finally taking 3days off for cousins wedding.
I'm getting old now, so thinking about starting to lighten up a bit....... -
When I did otr I stopped every 3 hoursish. Aspirin, C'mon it thins blood. Eat raw garlic. I used to walk at night a half hour. Get the step counter app. But yes it's an unhealthy life style.
Bud A. and DexterSaintJock Thank this. -

You could definitely get away with stopping on a ramp 99% of loads and doing a quick 1 minute jog around your truck and not have it affect your schedule much.
Now if your talking about 10-15 minutes off every 3 hours, that would be much more difficult on tight schedules, but not impossible with some jobs
Most truckers are way too lazy to even try to do that.Accidental Trucker Thanks this.
