If I am on medication for high blood pressure will that get me sent home by Prime? My levels are within DOT standards with the meds but I dont want to get sent home if it is a medication that they prohibit.

Eh, this whole ordeal with prescription medications freakin' urks me to no end. Nothing stops anyone from jumping into a 1,000lb death machine (car) while under any type of medication, yet somehow it's a big deal if truck drivers do it.
It's hard to say, I'd check the FMCSA website and take a look at their 'prohibited' medications list.. If it's not on there, then it will likely not be against Primes policy either.
If it is, then that's Prime's deal and i'd check with other companies. It might've been a good idea to talk to your recruiter about it before you scheduled orientation, if you haven't already. -
Per regulation 391.41(b)(6) (I'm paraphrasing) As long as you have a BP of 140/90 or less you are ok. If you are on medication to achieve this you can only be certified for one year on your DOT physical. There are no prohibited medications as long as your Dr. is aware of all of your duties and he decalres that any medication you are on will not interfere with those duties.

If your BP is over the limit you fail... you get the chance to come back again and redo it. If you fail again you're out. Or, you can go home and work on it... then come back.
If you're on a BP med (like I am) you'll get a 1 year card, so you get to do a yearly DOT physical. That's not a bad thing, you just have to keep it under control.
At orientation - avoid caffiene and salt. Don't stress out. Get plenty of sleep. If your BP is ok going into orientation, you should be fine when they check it.
