I also would like to know if i were to buy a truck, and have engine checked for blow by, how much blow by is bad enough to not buy the truck. Is there a chart that we can go by to determine what is acceptable or not?

I had posted earlier about blowby on D60 series 2000 yr, non egr. I had taken it for an electrical issue, and the service tech began to state how bad blowby was on my engine, so on etc.
I had the electrical issues looked at and had it put on the dyno, when the master tech came out to explain why the truck has blowby, he said this model year engine has a seal that when idle, it is completely normal, once it accelerates, the seal closes.
Have it set to 435hp, and dyno came in at 408 at the wheels. So in this case, blowby is normal, and means absolutely nothing is wrong with it, other than normal operation. It seems the service advisers are just there to pump money out of you.
Just another reminder, stay away from dealerships. -
thanks man that is some good news

From all the things that you have said are wrong with that truck, I hope you got it for scrap price.
