    Blew the recap on the middle axle of a 3 axle trailer. Obviously it's impossible to get it fixed in the middle of a sat.night/sun morning. Load needs to get delivered. Think I can make it 140 miles?

    Nothing is impossible even in the wekends, there are shops that do road side work and if you work for a company that have some safety they will get on e out to you to change it.

    I blew one tire one day and i did not move until i had a new tire on the trailer and you are thinking about doing 40miles?
    good luck if you take the chance

    First question is:are you running singles or duals?
    Second question:how heavy is your load.
    Third:do you have a jack?

    Why is it that when people ask something, they never give the full info? :biggrin_25511:

    Blew a outside drive tire in Little Rock in front of Maverick's yard and rode all the way to West Memphis at 60mph to get it changed....no problem

    I figured dual was self explanatory or I wouldn't be running at all obviously. Even if I was a tandem I probably wouldn't risk it. But I'm tri axle. Problem is I'm also 98k and the tire next to it is significantly hotter than the rest

    You're are allowed to get to the nearest shop if you aren't a hazard. If you're slinging rubber than you probably need road service. I know I always try to make a shop if I can. I've driven up to 60 miles before. It all depends on the scenario.

    It's dark out! :biggrin_25521::biggrin_2559:

    The weight don't sound good. Them other tires have to take up the slack. Where are you at?

    I think you just answered it yourself.
    It is highly likely that you will blow that tyre.
    Limping to a repairshop is possible but 140 miles.............5% that you make it 95% you don't.

    Keep the remaining tyre as cool as possible.(which isn't easy as the heat generated by the tyre remaining will also be stored in the axle)
    Low speed.
    If you can slide the traileraxles to the back,do so.

    Good luck
