When I was following my neighbor on night on the interstate, I thought I saw sparks from under his trailer tire. got on the c.b. & got closer, not sure what is was. it was the steel belt/wire hitting the ground. drove 50m.p.h. to a truck stop 8 miles away & we both parked til the shop opened in the a.m. the sparks could not be seen from the driver, or he could not see them. from my view, they were only visible from behind & only right at the tie/pavement point of contact.

Glad you made it. Think about the conseqences in the worst case senario, out of balance axle due to flat tire could over heat wheel bearings to flame, second tire could blow out, center axle could throw a lot of debris under trl damaging brake components
You used up a lot of your luck on this ride. Late delivery due to mechanical failure does not reflect on you.
Why is your company running recaps on haz-mat????? -

last i checked diesel wasn't explosive. and they teach you that in truck driver school. gas is explosive, diesel requires combustion.
depends on the load but most often then not. i'll LIMP to a shop. average road call runs $400. more if your out in the middle of nowhere. on top of a tire.
i was out on a back road in missouri when i stopped for a drink. came out and one drive had a nice gash. not one truck bothered to say anything on the cb.
turned on the hazards, went down the road. had two cops go the opposite way that never bothered me. jumped on the highway and proceeded 50 miles to a shop. -

Some of you guys are amazing. If its not slinging rubber drive it, just take it easy. Apparently none of you nervous drivers are O/O, when your paying the bills you do things differently. The weight doesn't mean anything because the axle weights are almost identical to an 80k 5-axle truck. I swear some of you guys would call for roadside assistance for a wiper blade. Always scared of the DOT.
CondoCruiser, Raiderfanatic, SL3406 and 15 others Thank this.
