Blown tire: how far do you think I can drive?

    Just once I'd like a flat on a lift axle . Lift and go but that would be illegal , so I would call a service truck. Ya right!

    gee it was only fuel a few hours late BFD wasnt temp controlled or anything
    it is called a breakdown for a reason

    Will be coming up on my recap shortly. I will move it over to the shoulder if home hasn't already done so

    I can't figure out these idiots that just pull off on the side of the big highway and make a tire guy come to them and risk their life changing it in heavy traffic. keep going and get off the big road!

    I have ran on flats many times when empty, but would not go too far when loaded.

    Ever thought about the possibility of the DOT pulling behind them and then putting them out of service for it and the inspection they did?

    Ever thought that maybe company policy dictates it?

    Ever thought about the safety of others?

    I actually check my tire pressure everyday being I run nights do this crap doesn't happen. Made it about 150k since my last blowout. Not too bad for running recaps

    You can blow a recap with good tire tread and adequate pressure. It happened to me on more than one occasion. I actually blew a recap next to a trooper once and some of the debris hit his patrol car.
