I have asked OSR's, TE's, other drivers, and no one seems to know what the perpose of the blue & white triangle label on the lower left rear of older SNI trailers are for. I have no idea, anyone know the answer?

I've heard everything from it's there so an Amish buggy knows which side to pass a Schneider truck on to it's a depth perception aid for someone passing so they don't clip you.

Well originally it was designed as a pull tab. See our trailers are very visible and most folks think Schneider when they see Orange. So when a van driver put his truck in the ditch they were supposed to go pull that tab and the skin would come off and it would be a Swift trailer underneath. This was to help our image.

The problem was that the word never got out and so nobody knew.

It's a military symbol that is reflective, and is meant to warn a driver following the rig how far they have to move to the left when passing the rig in order to clear it.

Great, now next time I pass a Schneider truck with my buggy I'll have to look for the triangle.

Just don't go pulling it, unless it's in the ditch.

Furthermore I know Schneider trucks are slow but I take offense that a buggy could pass us. Or that it happens so often we need a sticker on the trailer.
