I was wanting to know if these devices would work good in a truck environment, especially the motorokr t505.

I have the Jabra [IMG] Works ok but I still use the bluetooth headsets especially when I'm tarping, strapping and now with the White $#@T falling, "Hanging Iron". You don't need anything fancy and nothing's 100%.

My Cobra radio allows you to use the CB bluetooth for the phone

    Anyone have the Moto T505?

I should receive mine tomorrow. I have read a lot of favorable reviews but from 4 wheelers only. I'll let you know about outgoing sound from my day cab (I drive locally now).

Since I'm in a different truck daily this seems like it might offer a solution for me. I bought the new Palm Pre phone, but can't hear the voice prompts from the included Sprint Nav gps program over the cab noise.

I also lost a notch of volume from my favorite Plantronics 510 headset to the Pre. It was slightly louder coming from my Blackberry, the difference being from great incoming volume to now having to hold in it my ear.

The T505 has a built in fm transmitter so you can hear gps voice prompts, AND your phone calls over your fm radio. It will also allow the Pre (or any phone with the A2DP BT profile) to transmit music to fm as well. It also has its own 2 watt speaker. Review to come in a few days. If it fails the trucker test I will use it in my car.

Only around 60 bucks now at Amazon.

I will get the T505 for the gps commands so thanks for that bit of info I've been searching for. Considering this post is from 2009 it should be better in all ways. The T500 does NOT work for gps commands (Google Nav and Sygic) so it is going back to VZ wireless store. I don't understand why one would buy a Garmin/dedicated gps when a good smartphone provides the same. Google Nav is bare bones and free while Sygic is more scenic for $21 on Android market.
