hello all, just a quick question are there any company sponsered cdl schools that do not go by your bmi score? prime does ( which i just found out so im taking them off my list. if they all do than im not going to worry about it than. thnaks for all your help. im 5-6 275 dont have aproblem doing anything but you know the regs lol

Check with Swift . They and other carriers realize if all drivers with sleep apnea were disqualified there'd be a real shortage of drivers .

You might consider getting tested for sleep apnea . If you truly don't have a problem and have it certified it will help . If you are found to have sleep apnea but have documentation the problem has been corrected you will be ahead of the game . The drivers' job market is still very tough though . Consider other careers . -
thanks for info, as far as job selections here wher ei live in sc its ano go and yes i have sleep apnea machine and all. I will prob go with swift good or bad.

Hope you have a cpap that records your useage. For being a driver, they will download your useage out of the machine to verify.

Also check out Schneider if you have sleep apnea... Been with SNI 10 years.. 8 of them on a CPAP.
All the sleep apnea testing and treatment is free for company drivers. Covered as preventative treatments.
