Had a few ask for tracking, does not matter since my cell carrier can block it at any time or do a hard reset on my phone so the tech told me.

You can turn the locator feature off on you phone and they cant track. You have to have the GPS tracker on on the phone. There are a few brokers that have it and with some you dont have to do a check call. Most only require it if customer ask for it. You can down load the same program and track anyone even without them knowing if you can get ahold of the phone for a few min.
hardworkinman Thanks this. -
@PlumCrazy. They dont "track" phones with the GPS feature, they use triangulation. Every cell phone tower that your carrier has a contract with is following your phone when you are in range (thats how your phone knows to ring when someone calls you). If you have no "tracking" capability, your carrier would not know where to send calls to your number, thats what essentially happens when you have no signal or shut your phone off.
The only thing that shutting GPS off does is keep Apple or Samsung from following you, it doesnt stop Verizon or Sprint from doing it.aiwiron, hardworkinman and Cetane+ Thank this. -
They do not use GPS but your phone signal -

If any of you think that technology manufacturers are not putting cellular tracking devices in most of their products, you are being very naive. If you pick up a million dollar computer part, they probably already installed a $50 tracking device in it.
