No I just have my personal phone. I'm just a company driver but my boss gets some broker loads so I get to interact with them a bit.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Here sheep. Its NONE of their business. Thats why. They trusted me enough to give the load then they can trust me enough to deliver it. ON TIME!!! They took my word that I would haul their cheap load so they can take my word for where I am at. I don't need some idiot in an office checking to see if his late loaded 1000 mile overnight load will be there or not. You sir have been with Landstar too long.

Booked a load yesterday and picking up today, has to be tracked and not a problem and laughing at the tin foil hats all the way to the bank.

Hey Bill, this Big Road app is free on the handsets. I think it's $15 per month on the fleet end. Not an EOBR, but the trails are better than using Latitude.

One of the over riding themes in the responses seems to be, they have trusted the load to me, I will get it there on time without them looking over my shoulder.
In the Wall Street Journal, dated March 21 2013, very large article about how Fed Ex is not making nearly as much money because " it doesn't absolutely positively have to be there overnight." The explanation in the article was that the supply chain for all freight moving all over the world has gotten so good, that shippers are willing to pick slower means of transport "IF THEY KNOW WHERE THEIR SHIPMENT IS AND IT IS GOING TO ARRIVE AS SCHEDULED". The information technology is here. Get used to these kinds of business requirements. And since it is a business, the privacy issues simply do not apply. Not that I like the trend, but since 9/11 we have no rights to privacy in the transportation business.

Using this right now. Doesn't qualify as e-logs to most DOT staff, but I print/sign my prior days anyway so it's a moot point. I'm impressed with it...best I've found for Android.

I'm at MATS right now and met with them. They have an EOBR option in case we get a bass driver. Going to test it.

Bill, you happen to ask them about state miles tracking/reporting?

    BigBadBill Thanks this.

I do that with my coordinator. It automatically sends my location, date and time along with a message if I choose. It keeps me from being put on forever hold.
