Bob Evans Transportation is a private fleet

 

My wife worked there for 12 years, here in Mansfield, and we've never heard of that. Thanks for the interesting info~!

 

Bob Evans has there own fleet because they make there own sausage and stuff, you see the Bob Evans private fleet at the bigger GFS distribution centers like Springfield, Ohio and Brighton, MI as well as probably Douglassville, GA because they do Bob Evan's distribution out of those warehouses. Bob Evans makes there own products like Sausage and other things and actually I think they probably deliver there own products to the super markets.

However there private fleet isn't set up to do distribution to there restaurants so that's what GFS does, delivers all the products the restaurants need. Bob Evan's I think is GFS's biggest account.

 

^^^^ Thanks, Mike! I figured you'd know, LoL. She used to have Mattingly and then "you guys" and never saw a B/E rig. It's the sausage, mac n cheese, tatoes, etc... to the stores.. Ok gotcha!

Yeah Mattingly ran into some trouble and contacted the Gordon's for help and the Gordon's didn't want to see anything happen to Mattingly, but I guess they were having money issues at Mattingly and the Gordon's were asked by Mattingly to step in and then take over.
