I just picked up a another truck yesterday. It's a 2005 International with a Cummins ISX 435ST. I'm curious what the maximum boost pressure you are seeing with similar horsepower EGR ISX's while BOBTAILING. My understanding is the load based speed control will hold the power back so I am just looking for a comparison.....thanks

no engine load - no boost)
to be sure find someone with laptop and run Turbo test (and EGR test too) -
I know that no engine load equals no boost. I'm just wondering for comparison sake what people have seen bobtailing when shoving their foot into it.
No need to do egr test as the egr is new and I already disconnected it. -
That's interesting, my Cat will pull full boost while bobtailing.
-
I don't know if I'm getting full boost or not as I have no reference for comparison right now. I guess I will know in a week or so when i start working this truck.

Even bobtail I would expect around 30psi in high gears with your foot in it.

pre egr '02 cat without VGT.....
-
well that is good, because that is what I saw.
-
I got a 05 ISX 475 and it will get about 30psi.

I talked to a buddy today with an '04 ISX and he can pull about 40 lbs bobtailing.
